Kingston's Blanket IS FINISHED

Finally, Finally I am finished. Kingston's blanket is done. YAY!!!  I think it is well oversized to cover a newborn. Washed and dried and awaiting the new bundle of joy...

I will post pics after I give it to the parents...

Had to FROG 10 Rows & Still No Kingston

Well, Kingston's Mom thought she was going into labor over the weekend. This baby has other plans...I think he's wants his blanket....LOL

I discovered a mistake on Friday night, just as I was about to start my border...It took me until Saturday night after a long night of dancing to decide that I just could not live with the mistake. So I FROGGED it. UGH. I think I frogged more than 10 rows but that's all I'm admitting to. HA!!!

I am not back on track and I am 2 rows from starting the border, so Kingston you can make your appearance tomorrow.

I am just about finished with Kingston's Blanket and his Mom is hoping he will be here this weekend...I joked on Facebook that he was waiting for his blanket to be done already..

Hopefully I can wash it and have Dad come pick it up by Sunday..This will definitely be done this weekend.

You ever had a knitting project and you can see the end so that is all you want to do until it is finished...Thats me. I don't want to do anything until I can get the last few inches of knitting complete and I can bind off..and block.

I finally finished the hat and scarf set I was knitting for my friend Valerie...and here she is so glad to model it for me... and then we danced all night... so much fun

Super Bowl Sunday!!!!

Currently I am at a Superbowl Party!!!! I don't watch football as a matter of fact I had to ask who was playing... Haha... I love the Superbowl snacks and commercials not big on football. So back to baby Kingston's blanket,,,,I found a yarn over about 6 rows back and it took me a day to figure out if I wanted to keep going. Decided I could not live with the mistake API am currently ripping out approx 6 rows....the perfectionist in me...he's trying to come early...in planning to be done by Tuesday Ha!!!

No knitting today

Well there has been no time for any kind of knitting today. I had back to back meetings at work and tonight I am hanging out with my new beau...or boo. Lol

Last I heard Kingsron's mom was trying to jump start the party with M.O.P's Ante up Remix feat. Busta Rhymes, Teflon, and Remy Martin. She gotta keep that baby in there....I'm gone try to be done by Tuesday.  He's not done anyway his eta is feb 12.

Cold Cold Day in Chicago

It is sooo very cold here in Chicago.....I don't care for the cold weather. Makes me feel like I can't get anything done....Today I guess I'm feeling sort of melancholy....just blah. I get this way when the weather starts really freezing. and today it's a low of 7 and a high of 16 degrees. ugh!!!

I will be soo glad when winter is over. But I did promise a pic of the baby shower I attended.


I forgot about the games that are played at showers.

It was a lot of fun.

Baby Kingston Due to Arrive Feb 12, 2013

Today, I am trying to finish a baby blanket. The baby is a boy and his name is going to be Kingston. Now I started this blanket 2 days before the baby shower on Friday, January 18th, thinking OK I can finish this by Sunday Jan 20th.

What in the world is wrong with me. I had only completed the border by the time Sunday came I had only finished a border. But I did not give up....I promised the mom Shaun a blanket, thought I could finish by Tuesday Jan 21st. I only needed another 2 days right. LOL!!

1St Blog Ever!!!

Ok, this is my very first blog ever. A little bit about me....I have 3 children ages 25, 18, 17.  I discovered knitting the very last week in February of 2011 and have been absolutely hooked ever since. My very 1st project was a baby hat knitted flat with ribbing....Then I went for the gust and knitted pair of socks.
